RIVER’S EDGE BATTLE OF THE BANDS

River’s Edge is looking for 16–24 acts to compete in a five-night Battle of the Bands competition.
All genres are welcome. Bands, solo artists, duos, and groups may enter.

PRELIMINARY ROUNDS
ALL COMPETITION NIGHTS START AT 10 PM
Friday, October 16 — 10 PM — 4 Acts
Saturday, October 17 — 10 PM — 4 Acts
Friday, October 23 — 10 PM — 4 Acts
Saturday, October 24 — 10 PM — 4 Acts
Acts will compete in groups of four.
One winner from each preliminary round advances to the Final Battle.
FINAL BATTLE
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30 — 10 PM
The preliminary winners return for the championship round.
One act will be crowned the River’s Edge Battle of the Bands Champion.
🏆 $2,000 TOTAL PRIZE PACKAGE
The overall champion will receive a prize package valued at $2,000 total, consisting of cash and additional prizes.
The exact cash and prize breakdown will be announced before the Final Battle.
ENTER THE COMPETITION
$40 PER ACT
Submit your act information and pay the $40 registration fee to enter.
Once registration and payment are received, River’s Edge will contact you with your competition date and additional performance information.
Spots are limited to 24 acts.
🎟️ AUDIENCE ADMISSION
$10 GENERAL ADMISSION
Every paid admission includes one official voting ballot.
Guests who leave and return may purchase another admission for $10, which includes another official voting ballot.
🗳️ ONE PAID ADMISSION = ONE BALLOT
The official ballot box will remain locked until voting closes at the end of each competition night.
No running vote totals will be announced.
Once voting closes, all valid ballots will be counted. The act receiving the most valid votes will advance to the Final Battle.
VOTING RULES
Only official River’s Edge voting ballots will be counted.
Each paid admission receives one ballot.
Additional ballots are available through additional paid admissions/re-entry.
Ballots must be submitted before voting closes.
Duplicate, copied, altered, counterfeit, or otherwise invalid ballots may be rejected.
The ballot box will remain locked until voting officially closes.
Voting totals will not be announced before the official count.
River’s Edge staff will oversee the voting process.
Decisions regarding ballot validity and the official count are final.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Each act will receive an assigned performance time.
Competitors must arrive by their designated check-in time and be ready to perform when called.
Performance times and stage instructions will be provided to each registered act before their competition date.
Competitors are responsible for:
Arriving on time.
Bringing required instruments and personal equipment.
Following the assigned performance schedule.
Staying within the assigned performance time.
Following venue and staff instructions.
Maintaining professional conduct throughout the event.
Failure to appear, excessive lateness, or failure to follow event rules may result in loss of performance time or disqualification.
SOUND & EQUIPMENT
River’s Edge will provide the available house sound system and stage equipment.
Competitors are responsible for their own instruments, specialty equipment, pedals, cables, controllers, and other personal equipment unless otherwise arranged with event staff.
Additional sound and stage information will be provided to registered competitors.
FAIR PLAY & CONDUCT
All competitors are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully.
Fighting, threats, harassment, intentionally disrupting another competitor, damaging property, interfering with the voting process, ballot manipulation, or other forms of cheating may result in removal or disqualification.
Competitors are responsible for the conduct of their members and crew.
MEDIA & PROMOTION
By registering, competitors acknowledge that River’s Edge Dive Bar and event organizers may photograph, record, and/or video the event and performances for promotional purposes, including social media, advertising, websites, and future event promotion.
Competitors are encouraged to promote their scheduled competition night and bring their supporters.

The $40 registration fee may be paid at the door, but your act must be registered at least ONE WEEK before your assigned preliminary competition date.

OCTOBER 31 — SEPARATE EVENT
🎃 RIVER’S EDGE HALLOWEEN PARTY
Saturday, October 31 will feature a separate Halloween Costume Party at River’s Edge.
The Halloween event is not part of the Battle of the Bands competition.
